From Monday, the Vande Bharat train that usually starts at 5.20 am from Thiruvananthapuram will start five minutes earlier, at 5.15 am. Therefore, the train will reach five minutes earlier in other stations as well. For instance, it will reach Kollam at 6.03 instead of 6.08 and Chengannur at 6.53. However, there will be no change at the Kottayam station where it will reach at 7.27 am and Ernakulam Town station at 8.25 am. The train will reach Thrissur at 9.30 am. Again, there will be no change in timings from Shoranur to Kasaragod.

There is no change in the schedule of the Vande Bharat train from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram up to Shoranur. The train will reach Thrissur at 6.10 pm and leave at 6.13 pm (the old timings were 6.10 pm for arrival and departure at 6.12 pm). There is no change in the timings at Ernakulam and Kottayam stations, while it will reach Chengannur at 8.46 pm, Kollam at 9.34 pm and Thiruvananthapuram at 10.40 pm.

Meanwhile, the Railway Divisional Office has said that efforts were being made to find an immediate solution to the complaints by passengers that trains were being detained to allow Vande Bharat to pass through. The complaints of the passengers will be codified. At times, the reason for trains getting delayed is not the operation of Vande Bharat. There are many other causes such as the pulling of the alarm chain unnecessarily and the allotment of more stoppages. The authorities said that construction of infrastructure facilities including modernization of the signal system were also progressing at a very fast pace.
