Preparing the perfect batter for dosa is indeed a time-consuming process. The batter has to be kept aside for hours too, in order to make soft idlis or crispy dosas. Even though dosa powders are available in the market, they may not be healthy or trustworthy enough. Interestingly, you could easily make dosa instantly even without adding rice or urad dal in the batter. Here is the recipe.
1 cup masoor dal
1 carrot (chopped)
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 dried chilly
Salt as required
Water as required
Blend the masoor dal, finely chopped carrot, cumin, dried chillies, and salt with some water in a mixer jar
Pour a ladle full of batter on a hot pan
Flip and cook
Enjoy the crispy and tasty instant dosa with sambar or chutney.
