Spinach fry


Spinach is a more versatile ingredient than you may think. Mix it with rice, pasta, or even eggs and you have a flavourful preparation. This recipe uses this super healthy leafy vegetable to create a crispy and spicy side dish. It can be served with rice or porridge.

½ kg spinach
1 cup gram flour
Salt as required
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp asafoetida
500 ml oil

Slice the spinach leaves thinly
Sprinkle the gram flour and mix well
Add salt and asafoetida
Toss everything together
Heat oil in a pan
Add the spinach leaves
Fry until crisp
Sprinkle chilli powder, mix well, and serve.
