The actress turned 28 on Thursday. Her father, actor Suniel Shetty, too shared a birthday note on social media.

Athiya made her debut in 2015 with "Hero" and was then seen in "Mubarakan" and "Motichoor Chaknachoor". She hasn't announced her next project yet.

Last month, she walked the virtual ramp at the digital version of the Lakme Fashion Week. She also opened up about work-from-home wardrobe looks, adding that she likes to be in comfortable clothing and without make-up.

The actress is said to be dating cricketer KL Rahul. Although the couple hasn’t accepted or denied their relationship in public, their social media PDA and frequent outings speak volumes about their love affair.

According to a report published in Times of India, Athiya, in her recent interview, said that she isn’t comfortable talking about her personal life. The actress stated that while they give too much of themselves daily, she wants to keep a certain aspect of her life to herself. Reportedly, Athiya also emphasised that whether it is friendship, relationship or family, it is something so personal and private that she will protect it and won’t be talking about it.
